Houston home insurance is rising. This is the install your carrier wants to see.

We turn painful premiums into leverage. A licensed Texas plumber installs a carrier-recognized smart shutoff at your main, our Texas Registered Master Plumber (RMP) certifies it, and we keep the documentation current at every renewal.

A two-story brick home in a Houston-area suburban neighborhood

Built for the Houston home

From the brick of West U to the slab of Cypress.

Every home in the metro has a main shutoff. We meet you there and leave you with the paperwork your carrier wants on file.

Why homeowners install

A device alone doesn't earn the discount. The paperwork does.

Your carrier rewards installs that are properly documented and maintained. We handle both, so the savings show up on your renewal, not just on a sales page.

Protect your discount

The credit most carriers offer for whole-home leak protection only counts if the install is documented properly and stays current at each renewal. We handle that part.

Sleep through the freeze

The shutoff closes the moment a line ruptures behind the wall, at 3 a.m., during a hard freeze, while you're out of town. You stop guessing what the next cold front will cost you.

Documentation, maintained

Annual device health check, renewed certificate, and a carrier-ready PDF you can attach to any renewal email. The discount stays the discount.

Why your rate keeps going up

Texas home insurance climbed 46% in two years. Houston is the bullseye.

From May 2022 to May 2023, average Texas home insurance rates rose 27%, on top of a 16% increase the year before. That is roughly 46% in just two years, according to a statewide pricing analysis by Policygenius. Texas now ranks among the five most expensive states in the country for homeowners insurance.

Houston is the bullseye. A 2025 State of Housing report from Rice University's Kinder Institute puts the average annual insurance cost in the Houston region at about $6,600, among the highest regional averages in the country. Carriers are not arbitrary about it: Winter Storm Uri, repeated hurricanes, derechos, hail, and rising rebuild costs have produced billions in claims, and the Texas Department of Insurance tracks an almost uninterrupted stream of rate filings from major carriers. The direction is one-way: up.

There is one trend running the other way. Carriers actively reward homes that document a reduction in water-damage risk. On a typical Texas homeowners policy in the $3,000 to $4,100 range, a 10% to 15% credit puts roughly $300 to $600 back in your pocket every year, before counting the damage you avoid the first time a line bursts. That is the entire reason we exist.

What we send your carrier

The certificate is the product.

Every install comes with a one-page certificate your insurer will recognize. It documents the property address, install date, device make and model, serial number, and the license number of our Texas Registered Master Plumber. The work is performed by a licensed Texas plumber operating under that RMP.

That's the document your agent needs to apply the discount. We email it to you on install day, and with your permission, directly to your agent.

  • Texas RMP license number. The license of our Registered Master Plumber, which certifies the install for your carrier. Work performed by a licensed Texas plumber operating under that RMP.
  • Device make, model and serial. The carrier matches this to their approved-device list.
  • Install date and property address. Ties the device to your specific policy.
  • Renewed annually. Subscribers receive a fresh certificate at each policy renewal.

The 24-month math

Estimate what your install nets out over two years.

A typical Texas homeowners premium runs between $3,000 and $4,100 a year as of 2025. Most carriers credit 10% to 15% off the water-damage portion when an approved device is installed and documented. For most Houston homes that math puts roughly $300 to $600 back in the owner's pocket every year, and the install plus a Basic subscription typically pays back inside the first 24 months.

Renewal-cycle value. The discount applies every year you stay insured. Most homeowners earn back the install in 2–4 years and bank savings every year after.

Carrier-specific. Actual credit depends on your carrier's underwriting and your policy. We confirm before you commit.

When the cold front lands

Behind the walls, in the coldest hours.

Houston homeowners don't lose sleep over the visible plumbing. They lose sleep over the line behind the laundry-room drywall that ruptures at 4 a.m. on the second night of a freeze, with nobody home until Monday.

A whole-home shutoff at your main can't stop a burst from happening. It stops the next eight thousand gallons from following.

Common questions

Things homeowners ask before installing.

Will my carrier actually accept the certificate?
Most major Texas homeowners carriers recognize installs of approved smart shutoff devices when accompanied by a licensed plumber's certificate. Before install, we confirm your specific carrier's discount rules and required documentation. If your carrier doesn't currently offer a credit, we'll tell you that on the 15-minute call before you spend a dollar.
What's the typical discount on my premium?
Carriers typically credit between 5% and 15% on the water-damage portion of your homeowners premium when an approved device is installed and documented. Most credits in the Houston metro land in the 10% to 15% band, which puts roughly $300 to $600 a year back in the homeowner's pocket on a typical Texas homeowners policy in the $3,000 to $4,100 range. The actual figure depends on your carrier, your home, and your current policy structure.
Why do I need the subscription after the install?
The subscription is optional, but it's how the discount stays in place. Each year your carrier may ask for current proof of an active, working device. The subscription is what produces that proof: refreshed certificate, device health check, and a carrier-ready PDF. Without it, you risk losing the discount at a future renewal.
What device will you install?
We're brand-agnostic. We install Moen Flo, Phyn, StreamLabs, and other carrier-approved devices. On the 15-minute call we pick the device best matched to your plumbing, your Wi-Fi, your carrier's approved list, and your budget. We don't take referral money from any single OEM.
How long does the install take?
Roughly two hours on site. A licensed Texas plumber cuts in at your main shutoff, mounts the device, configures the app, and tests the auto-shutoff with you watching. The install is certified under our Texas Registered Master Plumber (RMP), and the certificate is emailed before we leave.
What does "$999+" really mean?
Standard installs on accessible mains start at $999. Older homes, hard-to-reach mains, and unusual plumbing configurations can run higher. We confirm your exact price after the 15-minute phone assessment and a quick photo of your main, before scheduling install. No surprise pricing at the door.
Do you monitor my home 24/7?
Honestly: no. The device itself watches your water in real time, alerts your phone, and shuts off automatically when it detects abnormal flow. Our subscription is about keeping that device healthy and your documentation current. It is not a 24/7 dispatch operation. That keeps our pricing honest and your expectations clear.
